1. OVERALL OBJECTIVE(S) OF THE POST

The purpose of this role is to help SSE (Srixon Sports Europe Ltd) become the leading golf company. This role will contribute by creating and maintaining a strong online presence, maintaining PR relationships and PR activity, developing our brand awareness, attracting more consumers and promoting our brands, utilising all relevant PR and social media channels.

2. POSITION IN ORGANISATION

  • Reports to the Brand/Marketing Manager, UK & Ireland
  • Develops strong and effective working relationships with other departments, especially with Tour, Sales and Customer Services.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with PR stakeholders – digital and print
  • Develops and maintains effective, professional working relationships with CG Huntingdon Beach, Japan Head Office and other Srixon subsidiaries

  • Degree in Marketing or related field

6. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

  • Plan and co-ordinate campaigns and events in-line with the overall marketing strategy
  • Develop a content plan and implement a social media strategy
  • Develop effective social media campaigns
  • Contribute to / own the development of the PR strategy
  • Contribute to new and creative growth strategies
  • Maintain and run the Social Media presence for Srixon Sports Europe and associated brands
  • Identify new trends in social media marketing and utilise to ensure the brand is at the forefront of industry developments

Campaigns and brand development (Social Media)

  • Attend occasional Tour events to work with our players and Tour staff to generate engaging content
  • Identify Target Consumers and develop relevant content topics to reach SSEs target consumers
  • Create and co-ordinate Social content, promotions and advertising campaigns, adapting the placement and targeting of these in order to ensure they are appropriate to the interests, concerns and issues of our consumers
  • Leverage Facebook ads to promote our content and increase our audience reach
  • Ensure that our visual branding on Social Media is consistent, compelling and gets the point across, increasing "likes", improving engagement, attracting potential buyers, generating leads and ultimately helping potential consumers come to a purchase decision

Engagement and conversion

  • Write and optimise content for the social media networking such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter etc., driving interest in these pages by working with bloggers and videographers to create pages that consumers want to view and sustain reader curiosity with fresh content and regularly updated information
  • Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts
  • Engage our audience, paying careful consideration on how they respond to organic (non-paid) leads that appear in the comment section of your posts.
  • Monitor online reviews and respond to each review.
  • Community leadership and participation (both online and offline) are integral to a Social Media Manager’s success.

Cultivation of leads and sales

  • Increase our profile in Newsfeeds to engage fans and build relationships with a view to converting them into consumers.
  • Channel any potential sales appropriately by answering questions and encouraging further engagement, eventually guiding them to the website/place of purchase.

Measurement and analysis

  • Determine the KPI’s (key performance indicators) that matter most to our business
  • Monitor results against KPIs on a daily basis, analysing data to establish ROI
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns
  • Propose plans to measure conversion rates and evaluate end-to-end customer experience
  • Produce reports illustrating effectiveness against objectives and providing a clear understanding of the returns

PR Activity and Communications

The purpose of this role is to help SSE (Srixon Sports Europe Ltd) become the number one golf company. This role will contribute through the provision of ethical sales expertise and product knowledge to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and product penetration to established customers and through developing new prospects within the assigned territory.

2. POSITION IN ORGANISATION

  • Reports directly to Head of UK & Ireland Sales and Demo Co-ordinator (TBC)
  • Takes direction from the Regional Account Manager in your area (dotted line reporting)
  • Takes direction from the Demo Co-Ordinator on demo day matters

6. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales development

  • Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts by up-selling and cross-selling and for business development designed to prospect potential customers and increase sales through daily phone calls, email or other outreach strategies
  • Generate sales to meet company targets both quarterly and annually for all brands
  • Build and sustain excellent professional / ethical relationships with customers
  • Deliver an exceptional level of service to all accounts within a defined geographical area
  • Manage customer expectations and discuss their business in fine detail to include Product Categories, margins & sales opportunities
  • Proactively handle any issues / objections in a professional and ethical manner
  • Seek new distribution opportunities within accounts that would enhance the Company brands
  • Develop a strong product knowledge (including current and past product offerings) for all our brands, ensuring it is up to date in order that expert knowledge and product features and benefits can be passed on to the customer

Data Management and administration
