Keegan Bradley has been named the 2011 PGA TOUR “Rookie of the Year”

Srixon Cleveland Golf staffer Keegan Bradley has been named the 2011 PGA TOUR “Rookie of the Year”. Bradley, 25, entered 29 events during the 2011 season, which included playoff victories at the HP Byron Nelson Championship and the PGA Championship. Bradley also had four top 10 finishes to end the season ranked 20th on the final FedExCup points list and 13th on the Official Money List with earnings of US$3,758,600.

Bradley finished up the 2011 year with a team victory at the Franklin Templeton Shootout last weekend. Bradley’s victory at the PGA Championship in John’s Creek, Georgia, made him the third player in over 100 years to win a major on his first attempt.

“I’m thrilled to win the Rookie of the Year,” said Bradley. “It was a main goal of mine to start the year and it’s a huge honour. I look forward to getting back out there and being a little more consistent, keep contending in tournaments and try to win every time I tee it up. I’ve recently switched to a new driver, the best one I’ve ever played, as well as adding some forged wedges for more feel around the greens. These changes, along with the knowledge and confidence I gained last season, have me really excited about 2012”

Bradley plays a Cleveland Classic 290 driver, a Cleveland Launcher Ultralite FL Fairway Wood, a Cleveland Launcher DST Hybrid (18°), a Cleveland Mashie 3, Cleveland CG7 Tour irons (4-PW), Cleveland Golf’s new 588 Forged wedges and Srixon’s Z-STAR golf ball line-up, while wearing a Srixon glove and carrying a Cleveland Golf bag.
