Mon February 4th 2008
It's turning out to be a great start to the year for Srixon as the ladies can't stop picking up wins.
Karrie Webb won the Women's Australian Open this weekend with a 10-foot birdie putt. Webb won her fourth Women's Australian Open title in a second hole of a playoff against South Korea's Shin Ji-yai.
Laura Davies secured her first win of 2008 and her 69th title with a two-shot victory at the New South Wales Open in Sydney.
The day had begun with Laura two strokes behind overnight leader Sarah Oh. However, a round of 67 secured victory at the 54-hole event.
On her victory, Davies had these words - "This is a big thing for me. It's not easy to beat these players. There were some really good players,".
Davies and Webb will both be representing Srixon next week at the Australian Ladies Masters at Royal Pines on the Gold Coast in Queensland where Webb will be defending her title.
