I play at Panmure Golf Club beside Carnoustie. Our Club Pro Andrew Crerar recommendeded this ball to combat the sometimes cold east winds we get. It did it very well and have since played it warm conditions and it became more responsive around the greens. To get a ball that does both is excellent. I will now play it. - Jim Campbell

overall it's a great ball. very workable and easy to control trajectory. lovely around the greens and on full shots with the irons. only thing i would question is distance off the driver...must try the z-star x maybe...i wouldn't tell the difference between this and the pro-v and have made the switch. - Cormac Flannery
I was delighted that my Pro recommended the Z Star as I have played the ProV1 for years and was surprized just how good the Srixon felt from the very first shot. Much longer and straighter than the ProV1 and really zipped back on the greens with my approach shots. I play off 8 and hopefully this ball will help me come - Steve Murphy

As a ProV1 fan i was very surprised how much i liked this ball. I seemed to drive the ball further, it had excellent feel around the green and when putting. An additional advantage is that I've now played two rounds with the ball and it has hardly marked at all!

These balls are incredible especially for the short game! I chiped in twice in my first round and got up and down plenty of times. Another plus is these balls are hard wearing and dont get stuck in the grooves of my wedge. Thank you srixon!!! - Tim Rowe
Very pleased with overall performance. Round the green they come into there own, nice feel control and lovely off the face of the putter. The only negative is the soft cover this cuts and marks easily.

The Z-Star balls are absolutely brilliant. They provide me with great feel, and a LOT of spin, i was finding that i was getting around a foot more backspin on the greens than i would when i use my Pro V1 ball. I found that my drives were going further and straighter also, i will recommend them to everyone and anyone. - John Ryall

Having played golf for the last 45 years and still play to a handiap of 6 at 68 years of age I only wish I that these balls would have been available some 30 years ago !!

Better line on ball to line up putts similar to the Prov1x. Just switched last month and finding greater distance and accuracy especially in the wind with a more durable cover. - Derek Fish
I never expected to find a ball that could compare with the Titleist range, especially the ProV's. I played the Srixon Z-STARx and instantly felt at home with the ball and was able to control it with confidence. A few more rounds to compare this to a ProV1x and I believe this could become my No. 1 choice. - Ian Brill

Was given 2 new balls and every round played with them was a good one, with reductions to my handicap (now playing off one), can't explain what the dfferences are to a ProV1 but my scores have improved!

I really did find a difference with the ad333, i am hitting the ball straighter and longer than with the callaway, i find that the ball 'sits down on the green' on my approach shots, my playing partner agrees, he is thinking of changing from nike's, after I dared him to try a srixon during our recent medal round . - Frank Granger
I bought a srixon distance but wanted a ball with more feel. I found a AD 333 and loved them these balls and started using it. Then i liked it so much i bought them, then i bought some more. I started using the balls at the beginning of the year and my handicaps gone down by 8 and i won my first medal. The balls work. - Calum Armour

Really enjoyed playing with the ball. Around the greens it was excellent, you get such a true feel. However when I was playing the longer clubs it weren't the best but you can't expect all round performance.
I play off 20 and even off that handicap, I realise when playing with AD333 that I can play much lower. Thanks - Joe Button
I can achieve the same or even better performance with the Srixon Ad 333 so why should I pay extra for a Prov V1? I would also like to try the new Srixon which is supposed to be even more like, or better than,the Pro V range. - Dottie Beanland

the ball seemed to cume off the club a lot higher and land softer than my pro v1, so the ball i will use from now will be the srixon trispeed! thanks to your competion i would have never tryed srixon balls.and i hope these will lower my handycap a bit.

The Srixon soft feel was a really good ball to play with. It certaitly gave the big corporate fat cats a run for their money. I recommended the balls to a friend a he loves them.
The soft feel has improved my long iron play which i struggled with.

I usually play Wilson balls , off a handicap of 16. The Srixon 'soft feel' gave me extra length of the tee , which surprised me and means I can know play more 7 and above Irons to the green. Had a few bounce games and realy got a good feel for the srixon soft feel ball.
First medal round was a roaring success,I WON !!! Net 61,six under par.
The biggest plus I noticed was the level of control the ball offered both around and on the green.

Used the softfeel in comps and a Z-URS that I found in general play. They are durable, consistant in flight and feel really good off the clubface withhout noticingh any loss of distance. Never really thought there was much difference between soft feeling balls so never really thought about brand loyalty until now. - Anthony Downs

I was encouraged to try the ladies soft feel at a promotion at my club . I tried to buy some at American Golf but said they couldn't get any.
